How to Create a High-Converting Contact Page
Your contact page is often the final step before a customer reaches out. Here's how to design a contact page that maximises enquiries and conversions.
How to Create a High-Converting Contact Page
Your contact page is where visitors decide whether to reach out. Most contact pages are terrible — a sparse form on a plain page. Here's how to make yours work much harder.
The Elements of a High-Converting Contact Page
1. Reassure Before Asking
Before presenting your form, remind visitors why they should contact you:
- Your Google review score
- A short testimonial
- A response time promise ('We respond within 1 hour')
- What happens next (so there are no surprises)
2. Multiple Contact Options
Different people prefer different contact methods. Offer:
- Phone — For people who want an immediate response
- Email — For non-urgent enquiries
- Contact form — For people who don't want to call
- WhatsApp or live chat — For quick questions
3. Keep Forms Short
Every additional field reduces completions. For most service businesses, you need:
- Name
- Email address (or phone)
- Brief description of their need
Don't ask for their budget, company size, or how they heard about you at this stage — that can wait until the discovery call.
4. Address and Map
For businesses with physical premises, include your address and an embedded Google Map. This builds credibility and helps people visualise meeting you.
5. Response Time Promise
'We respond to all enquiries within 1 business hour' sets expectations and creates urgency for you to respond promptly.
6. FAQ Section
Add answers to the most common pre-enquiry questions. This helps people feel informed before reaching out and qualifies leads.
7. Social Proof Below the Form
Include a few testimonials or your Google review widget below the contact form to reassure people who are on the fence.
What to Avoid
- CAPTCHA that's difficult to solve — Increases abandonment significantly. Use invisible CAPTCHA or honeypot instead.
- No confirmation message — After form submission, always show a clear 'Thank you' message or redirect to a confirmation page.
- Generic copy — 'Contact us' and 'Fill in the form below' are forgettable. Use specific, benefit-focused language.
After Someone Submits — Speed Matters
Research shows that responding to enquiries within 5 minutes increases conversion rates by up to 9x compared to responding after 30 minutes.
Set up email notifications so you know immediately when someone enquires.
